Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using PikaNini ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

PikaNini is a personal food intelligence application that uses artificial intelligence to help you make meal decisions, track food spending, and build healthier eating habits. Features include AI-powered decision support, recipe guidance, meal scanning, ingredient assistance, and spending analytics.

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

PikaNini offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription ("PikaNini Pro"). Pro features are billed on a recurring basis through your app store account (Google Play or Apple App Store). Prices are displayed in your local currency before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.

The App uses AI services (including Google Gemini) to generate meal recommendations, recipes, and cost estimates. This content is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice. AI outputs may be inaccurate — always use your own judgement when making food or financial decisions. PikaNini does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.

You agree not to misuse the App. Prohibited activities include: - Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App. - Using the App to harass, abuse, or harm others. - Transmitting malware or malicious code. - Scraping data from the App without permission. - Using the App for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to branding, design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by PikaNini and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Any feedback, ratings, or content you submit through the App ("User Content") remains yours, but you grant PikaNini a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and analyse that content to improve the App and its AI models. We will not share your individual User Content publicly without your permission.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Cost and time estimates provided by the App are approximations and may not reflect actual prices in your area.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PikaNini shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
