PikaNini ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the PikaNini mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information: - Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed). - Profile and preferences: dietary preferences, allergies, cooking skill level, household size, and meal goals you set during onboarding. - Meal data: cook/buy decisions, meal names, estimated costs, location (if permitted), food group tags, and timestamps. - Scan data: images you submit for AI scanning and the resulting analysis. - Usage data: feature interactions, session length, and in-app navigation patterns. - Payment data: subscription status managed via RevenueCat and your app store account. We do not store card details.

We use your data to: - Provide and personalise the PikaNini experience. - Generate AI-powered meal decisions, recipes, and cost estimates. - Compute your PikaNini Score and sustainability insights. - Manage your subscription and entitlements. - Improve the App through aggregated, anonymised analytics. - Send transactional emails (e.g. email confirmation, password reset).

Your data is stored securely on Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases with row-level security enabled. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We apply industry-standard security practices, but no system is completely secure.

PikaNini uses the following third-party services: - Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. - Google Gemini — AI meal analysis and recipe generation. - RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation. - Google Play / Apple App Store — payment processing. Each third party has its own privacy policy and data practices.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, as necessary to operate the App. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of PikaNini and its users.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

PikaNini is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date below and, where appropriate, by sending an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
